An audit is a review of the
college, education service district or school district board's policy
manual for compliance with current law, areas where policies are
minimally required to meet state or
federal mandates, consistency in the use of terms and organization for ease of use.
Recommendations are made for specific policy language deletion, addition and/or revision
to meet the requirements of current law. In the event a minimally required policy is
missing, a sample is provided. The corrected material is also provided
electronically. A policy specialist is available to
review the audit report with the board, if requested.
The cost of the audit is based upon actual cost of
professional and clerical services.
The audit fee may be deducted from the rewrite fee if the
district decides to do a complete rewrite
within one year of the audit.
