The
Mentor Advocacy Partnership (MAP) is a coalition of Oregon educational
organizations supporting the use of mentors as part of a teacher
induction program.
MAP
believes that mentoring is an essential component for assisting early
career teachers to become competent and confident professional
educators who make a positive impact on student learning. MAP will
compile and utilize research relating to best practices to identify
effective models, develop a clearinghouse for this information and
establish a strategic plan for systematic change that would support
mentoring programs in schools throughout Oregon.
The
agencies that support MAP are:
-
Confederation
of Oregon School Administrators
-
Northwest
Christian College
-
Northwest
Regional Education Laboratory
-
Oregon
