Central Linn School District

Professional Growth Levels Relating to Single Column pay Schedule

TEACHER LEVELS PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
BASIC:

Step 0
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3

  • Bachelor Degree

  • Entry level teachers with basic state certification required to teach.

  • Completed Level 1 of the Central Linn Technology Proficiency Requirements.

STANDARD:

Step 4
Step 5
Step 6

  • Masters Degree (or BA/BS +45 hrs) in work area.

  • Licensure in Second Area* of teacher choice.

  • Completed minimum requirements for recertification as contained in TSPC "PROPOSED RULES ON CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS" revised July 10, 1997.

  • Completed Level 2 of the Central Linn Technology Proficiency Requirements.

ADVANCED:

Step 7
Step 8
Step 9

  • Licensure in a District Shortage Area* or Second Area* pre-approved by District.

  • Qualified Teacher Mentor. (needs to be defined)

  • Completed Level 3 of the Central Linn Technology Proficiency Requirements.

MASTER:

Step 10
Step 11
Step 12

  • Minimum of ten (10) years licensed teaching experience with four (4) of last five (5) years in the Central Linn School District.

  • Qualified Head/Lead Teacher. (needs to be defined)

  • Completed Level 4 of the Central Linn Technology Proficiency Requirements.

* Could be same.

Levels can be skipped if requirements are met.
