Kindergarten Bill Passed by Full House
With a vote 52 - 5 (with 3 absent), SB 1068A, the kindergarten bill allowing districts to continue charging tuition for extended-day kindergarten until June 2010, passed the full House Friday afternoon. The bill now proceeds to the Governor for his signature.

With an 8 to 1 vote, the House Education Committee approved SB1068, the kindergarten bill allowing districts to continue charging tuition for extended-day kindergarten until June 2010. The bill proceeds to the full House.

Senate Bill 1068, a bill to allow school districts to continue offering tuition-based full-day kindergarten until June 2010, passed the Senate on a 23-7 vote today. The bill now advances to the House for consideration and action.
