Representing
the interests of local school districts, OSBA Legislative
and Public Affairs staff work with legislators and other groups developing school
finance programs, participating in efforts to revise labor/management laws and opposing
bills which restrict district control of schools. OSBA keeps members informed on current
legislation, arranges board member appearances before committees and serves as liaison
between school districts and the legislature and other rule-making bodies.
