Health Insurance Plans for 2003-04

Collective
Bargaining Impacts of OSBA’s Insurance Plan Redesign
Medical Plans
Medical Plans (all
deductible options) to be eliminated:
- Plan I
- Plan III
- Plan IV
- Plan V
- Plan VI
- PPO Plan II
- Blue Choice Plan I and III
Medical
Plans (all deductible options currently offered) to be offered:
- Plan A
- Plan B
- Plan C (current Plan VII with a $500 and $1000 deductible option)
- PPO Plan (current PPO Plan I with modifications to be announced)
- HMO Plan (current HMO II with ER co-pay raised from $50 to $100)
- Added Comprehensive Case
Management to all plans- Individual Restoration of Benefits is
being changed to $6,000 annual automatic restoration.
RX Plans
There will no longer be
a major medical drug plan. All Traditional PPP & HMO Plans
will have a separate $50 or $100 deductible depending on the
Medical Deductible Option - $50 RX for $100, $200 medical
deductible, $100 RX for the $300 and over medical deductible. The
RX deductible for the HMO will probably remain at $100 but is still
under consideration.
Drug benefits for all
plans (including Plans A, B & HMO) will be 80 percent Generic and
Preferred; 50 percent Non-Preferred using the long Choices List; 34 day
supply retail and 90 day supply mail order; $5,000 stop-loss.
The existing $5, $10 and
$10 20 percent/50 percent RX cards plans will not be available.
Dental Plans
Dental
Plans to be eliminated:
- Dental Option 2
- Dental Option 3
Dental Plan remaining:
- Dental Plan A that is
the current Dental Option 1
- Dental Plan B that is
the current Dental Option 4
Dentacare Plans are
eliminated to be replaced with one offering which is a $10 co-pay Dentacare Plan with most
benefits covered at 100 percent and a built in $1,500 co-pay orthodontia.
This Dentacare plan will be available with all Dental Plans
including the integrated Dental Plans.
Vision Plans
- Vision Plan 1 and HMO 1
will be eliminated.
- Vision Plan 2 and HMO Vision Plan II will remain.
Preventive Riders
The Preventive Care,
Chiro/Naturopathic and ortho-riders will continue.
