Employment
Relations Board - Three member public body appointed by the
governor to administer the Oregon Public Employee Collective
Bargaining Act.
Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory
(NWREL) - Private,
non-profit corporation conducting research, development, training, technical assistance
and other services for schools and communities.
Oregon Association of Education Service Districts
(OAESD) - Represents the education service districts in Oregon. Helps ESDs work together
to enhance programs, services and products for local districts toward the goal of improved
learning for all students.
Oregon Association of School Business Officials
(OASBO) - Professional association of the business
managers of Oregon's public schools. Provides professional growth opportunities and
strives for the highest standards of ethics, efficiency and economy in the business
methods and practices for the members.
Oregon Community College Association
(OCCA) - A voluntary association whose members consist of Oregon's 17
community colleges. Serves as the advocacy voice for the community
colleges at state agencies and the Legislature.
Oregon Community Education Association
(OCEA) - A professional association for strengthening community education programs in schools and colleges, for promoting lifelong learning, school volunteerism,
mentorships, youth service learning, and public involvement in schools and community planning.
Department of Community Colleges and Workforce
Development (CCWD) - Combination of Oregon Community College Services and
Oregon Job Training Partnership Act Administration. Also oversees the Oregon Youth
Conservation Corps and Oregon Community Services Commission.

operation of public schools and community colleges.

Educators Benefit Board (OEBB)
- The 2007 Oregon Legislature created the Oregon Educators Benefit
Board and established this state-run mandatory health insurance pool
for k-12 schools and ESDs.
Oregon Network for Education (ONE) - A ONE-stop
educational "mall" to inform prospective and current students, parents, school
counselors, employers, and others about educational programs and services available in
Oregon.
Oregon Public Education Network (OPEN)
- Statewide telecommunication project designed to assist in
providing access to a statewide network and provide Web-based
information, curriculum, resources, education standards and
instructional support to Oregon educators. Disbanded in 2006.

association of member high schools which regulates all
interscholastic athletics and activities following standards adopted
by the state Board of Education.

The professional association serving school counselors in Oregon since 1967. A state division of the American School Counselor Association.

Oregon Small Schools Association (OSSA) - A
non-profit entity organized for the purpose of improving instruction in Oregon schools by
providing staff development opportunities.

Student Assistance Commission (OSAC) is
the state student financial aid agency for Oregon. Formerly named Oregon State Scholarship
Commission (OSSC), OSAC administers a variety of State of Oregon, Federal, and
privately-funded student financial aid programs for the benefit of Oregonians attending
institutions of postsecondary education.
