OSBA received three top communication awards from the National School Public Relations Association:
- An Award of Excellence for
Focus On Critical Issues. OSBA's periodical devoted three issues to accountability, the Quality Education Model and Oregon's education workforce shortage.
- An Award of Merit for the association's Web site.
- An Award of Merit for an editorial by OSBA Executive Director Chris Dudley entitled
"Stand Up and Be
Counted!" about the need for school board development and training.
