Governance Changes
The Transition Year

The resolution to change the OSBA Constitution specified that terms of office for board members elected November 2007 end December 31, 2008, except for the terms of the president-elect and president which continue in 2009 and 2010; these two positions are the only ones not subject to regional board elections in fall 2008. Terms of office for other current OSBA board members end December 31, 2008, with those positions then subject to the regional election process.

The new board of directors configuration will be implemented with elections held fall 2008, effective January 2009.

The new Legislative Policy Committee configuration would be implemented so that committee members can participate in the development of OSBA legislative policies and priorities for 2008. LPC terms will run from the 2008 election through December 2009. After the initial election, future LPC elections will occur in conjunction with board elections in odd-numbered years.
