| Elections |
All board members and officers
are elected by a vote of all members present at the annual
membership meeting.
Open to all individual members of OSBA-member
boards. Those present have one vote each.
No provisions for virtual voting or vote by mail.

Regional voting: One vote per
school district, ESD, community college board.
Majority necessary to elect candidates; run-off
elections as necessary.
The vote of K-12 districts with large student populations will be weighted based on district median intervals of 7,800 ADM so that each will cast one vote plus one vote for each additional 7,800 ADM.
Vote by mail or electronically.
Notice of position vacancies will be sent to boards and individual board members in the region.
The format of the annual membership meeting at convention will allow voter information to be presented throughout the
convention as well as on the OSBA Web site and by other means to boards not in attendance at the convention.
Candidate information will be available on OSBA’s Web site, including position descriptions and other materials.
Candidates must complete questionnaires, which will be posted on the OSBA Web site; they may post
their resumes. Each region will have a section on the OSBA Web site for regional elections.
LPC member elections will be conducted every other year in odd-numbered years in the same manner and at the same time as OSBA board elections,
following transition year.
