The Board of Directors of the Sherman County School District, Grass Valley, Oregon Invites applications for the position of Superintendent
The Board, staff and community of the Sherman County School District are seeking an outstanding candidate with a strong background in public education and successful experience in school district administration to serve as Superintendent /Elementary Principal, beginning July 1, 2012. The candidate must demonstrate outstanding leadership and can work cooperatively with a dedicated staff and community; be a leader who participates in the life and activities of the community; possesses excellent communication skills, and exhibits dynamic leadership qualities and demonstrates personal and professional honesty and integrity.
Augmenting a district-wide commitment to academic achievement, the Sherman County School District offers state of the art technology, excellent computer labs and library resources, along with generous professional development support. The school district has consistently earned strong ratings from the Oregon Department of Education, and has a strong local funding base. The District has elementary and secondary campuses serving 240 students.
Sherman County is an agricultural community with the added economic development provided by wind farms.
Contract length, terms benefits and salary are negotiable. The current salary and benefits are regionally competitive and responsive to the profile of the successful candidate.
