About the position:

Prospect School District which operates as a K-12 public charter school is seeking a leader with an outstanding record in the field of education to serve as superintendent with possible other duties beginning July 1, 2016. The Board anticipates a base salary in the range of $95,000 to $105,000 plus benefits.

About the District:

Prospect Charter School with approximately 250 students and 40 staff is dedicated to high academic standards and helping all students have individual success academically, giving students a strong sense of self-worth, and providing many chances for and assistance in academic growth. The school offers open enrollment; low student to teacher ratio; full day kindergarten; the opportunity for every 5th-12th grader to participate in band, chorus, athletics, leadership, and a variety of other clubs.  Athletic opportunities include: 1A football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, cheerleading, and track. About the Community:

Prospect is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, along Route 62. It is situated 25 miles southwest of Crater Lake on the Rogue River and 44 miles east Medford. The historic Prospect Hotel, circa 1892, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Nearby Prospect State Park boasts Pearsony Falls, the amazing Rogue River gorge, and Mill Creek Falls. The last weekend in September, Prospect hosts “Music in the Mountains,” a bluegrass, folk, country, and American music concert.
