About the Postion

Gladstone School District is seeking a leader with an outstanding record in the field of education to serve as Assistant Superintendent beginning July 1, 2016. The District anticipates a base salary in the range of $110,000 to $120,000 plus benefits which includes the District paying PERS pickup.

Gladstone School District’s small, close-knit community provides a safe and nurturing place to raise children with more than 800 volunteers and dozens of partners supporting its schools. Gladstone is home to Oregon’s premier early childhood center, providing a hub of family services so students have a solid home foundation to support school success. Technology opportunities are provided in every school, from iPads in kindergarten to robotics and engineering for teens. At the high school, an array of opportunities is offered from performing arts and career-technical programs to a long list of AP and college credit courses. About the Community 

The City of Gladstone is bordered by a number of communities, including Oregon City, Milwaukie, and Clackamas, and is just 12 miles south of Portland. Although Gladstone’s four square miles has a population of approximately 11,000, the area has a small town feel and contains a large number of parks and an historic downtown area. Its close proximity to Portland gives residents quick access to all activities and services that a large metropolitan city has to offer.
