Back to School Week
OSBA was proud to co-sponsor "Back to School Week" each April with the Statewide Organization for Schools. It drew hundreds of citizens into Oregon schools, allowing citizens to experience today’s education scene.
While Back to School Week, started in 2000 by former Governor John Kitzhaber, officially ended in 2004, we think it's an event worth perpetuating, for many reasons. One important one is that 75 percent of Oregon voters do not have children in school!
What better way to help them understand what public schools are doing for Oregon's children and our future?
