Coding within each section follows an alphabetical sequence which is read from left to right, like a library card catalog, with subheadings for major policy areas within each section.
In some cases there are double-coded policies. These documents contain individual policies with identical language that have been combined to alleviate confusion during the update process.
A double-code applies to more than one section; therefore, a double coded policy need only be adopted once in any of the sections to be applied to each of the sections represented in the code. The newly adopted version will then apply to each of the individual codes listed in the entire policy code. For example, when policy GBK/KGC is adopted in section G, it then applies to two sections: section G as policy code GBK/KGC, and section KL as policy code KGC/GBK).
