Our board is planning to meet with another school district board to discuss mutual concerns. Are there any special provisions which need to be followed?


Meetings of the school board are generally required to occur within the District's geographic boundaries, but when the meeting is a joint meeting of two or more school boards, then the boards are allowed to meet at a site which is within the geographic boundary of one of the school boards participating in the meeting. The site must still be accessible to members of the public who have disabilities. The board is still required to comply with all the other public meeting requirements (e.g. notice, minutes etc.)
