One of the board members has asked to review the audio recording of one of our recent executive session meetings which he attended. Is it OK for him to do this? Who can review executive session recordings and minutes?

The audio tape and minutes of an executive session meeting are exempt public records. Individual board members, even though they were present at the meeting, do not have a right to review them. If the individual board member wishes to review the executive session minutes or audio tape they need to ask the board to vote to authorize them to listen to the audio tapes or review the minutes.
