The Woodburn School District Board of Directors is seeking a highly qualified candidate with visionary leadership skills and successful experience in educational administration to serve as superintendent. The successful candidate must have experience as an administrator, excellent communication skills, unquestionable integrity, a track record of setting high standards for students and employees, and be willing to be actively involved in the community.
The Woodburn School District, enrollment 5,700, is a multicultural delight with about 85% percent of students of Hispanic or Russian descent. This mix of three cultures is leveraged by dual-language programs to prepare students for a multi-lingual, multi-cultural world. The District has divided the high school into four smaller schools for more personal involvement, and offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Program.
The City of Woodburn is located in the mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon, 15 minutes from our state capitol Salem and 30 minutes from our largest city Portland, and within easy drives of the Cascade Mountains and the Oregon Coast. Our easy access to Interstate 5, Highways 99E, 211, 213, and 214 makes Woodburn a haven for people desiring small-town living with access to large-city services.
The Woodburn School Board will offer a very competitive compensation package to the successful candidate. The successful candidate must hold or qualify for an Oregon superintendent's license.
