Notice of Open Administrative Position
Position: Superintendent
he Roseburg School District Board of Directors is seeking an educational leader with an outstanding record of achievement to serve as Superintendent beginning July 1, 2019. The School Board anticipates offering an annual base salary in the range of $150,000 to $175,000 plus benefits for the position.

About the Community
Roseburg is located on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregon's scenic Douglas County. The City of Roseburg has a population of 23,000 which serves as the commercial center for Douglas County with a population over 108,000. The community is nestled in a lush, forested region known as the 100 Valleys of the Umpqua, and surrounded by the Cascade Range. The North Umpqua River, which novelist Zane Grey called the most beautiful river in the world, as well as the South Umpqua River, winds through this family-centric community. Located centrally to the Oregon Coast, Crater Lake National Park, and the City of Eugene, Roseburg is home to a historic downtown, a museum of natural history, the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, Wildlife Safari, the Festival of Lights, and Music on the Half Shell.

Qualifications
• A current Oregon administrative license with an authorization for all levels, a superintendent’s endorsement or a transitional superintendent license
• Successful experience as an educational leader and administrator
• In lieu of the experience and training requirements above, the Board may consider as a candidate for its superintendent’s position an individual who meets transitional administrator or exceptional administrator license requirements
• Other qualifications as determined by the Board
