The Klamath County School District Board of Directors is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as superintendent. The successful candidate must have proven leadership skills, demonstrated success as an administrator/instructional leader, excellent communication and fiscal skills and also exhibit a high level of personal and professional integrity.
Klamath County School District provides a K-12 education for approximately 6,630 students in 23 schools: 10 elementary schools, two middle schools, six high schools, two K-12 schools, one alternative school, and one charter school. The district employs approximately 800 licensed and classified staff. The schools serve as the social hub for seven distinct communities in our county. The geography of the district presents challenges which are unique in our state.
The district office is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon in Klamath County. The county is located in southern Oregon, encompasses over 6,000 square miles and has a population of approximately 66,000. The district serves the communities of Bly, Bonanza, Chiloquin, Gilchrist, Keno, Malin and Merrill.
The Board will offer a competitive compensation package to the successful candidate. The successful candidate must hold or qualify for an Oregon superintendent's license.
