Notice of Open Administrative Position
Position: Superintendent/Principal
The Condon School District Board of Directors is seeking a highly qualified candidate with visionary leadership skills and successful experience in education administration to serve as superintendent. The successful candidate must have experience as an administrator, excellent communication skills, unquestionable integrity and be willing to be involved in the community.
The Condon school district serves approximately 130 students in grades K – 12. District schools includes one K - 8 grade school and one 9 - 12 High School. The district employs a staff of 11 licensed staff, eight classified staff, one confidential and two administrative staff. The district has a general fund budget of approximately $3.5 million.
The city of Condon is a century-old Eastern Oregon farming community located 38 miles south of the Columbia River, less than three hours east of Portland, and is surrounded by miles of rolling, golden wheat fields. Area activities include hiking, camping, boating and fishing.

• Ability to build and sustain strong, effective family/community/business partnerships that impact student success.
• Is personable/approachable while keeping an open mind; good sense of humor.
• Background in teaching and building administration, preferably in small rural areas similar to Condon; instructional leader with strong academic credentials.
• Understands Oregon school finance, demonstrates sound fiscal management and strong budgeting skills; well organized.
• Has experience in recruiting, retaining, and developing highly qualified staff.
• Proven track record of using school data and collaboration to build student success.
The board will offer a competitive compensation package to the successful candidate, the salary range is $95,000 - $120,000. The successful candidate must hold or qualify for an Oregon superintendent's license and provide proof of compliance with OAR 333-019-1030 (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Teachers and School Staff).
