Notice of Open Administrative Position
Position: Superintendent
School District: Banks SD
Enrollment: 1,000 students (approx.)
Salary range: $140,000 to $170,000 annually plus benefits
Closing date: April 27, 2022
Employment begins: July 1, 2022
The Banks School District Board of Directors is seeking a highly qualified candidate with visionary leadership skills and successful experience in education administration to serve as superintendent. The successful candidate must have experience as an administrator, excellent communication skills, unquestionable integrity and be willing to be involved in the community.
The Banks School District is comprised of approximately 1,000 students in grades K - 12. District schools include one elementary school, one middle school and hone high school. The district employs a staff of 64 licensed employees, 35 classified employees, six confidential employees, and six administrators. The district has a general fund budget of approximately $14.4 million.

• Has facility management and improvement experience
• Is visionary and inspirational
• Proven track record of proactively using innovation to implement a bold vision for education
• Ability to build and sustain strong, effective family, community and business partnerships that impact student success
Banks, a small town approximately 25 miles west of Portland, is nestled in wine country between the Cascade Mountains and Oregon’s Coast Range. The surrounding area offers both urban and rural cultural and outdoor recreational opportunities, including the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, the first rail-to-trail path in Oregon. The school district encompasses 450 square miles of mostly rural land, stretching 20 miles from east to west and approximately 18 miles from north to south.

The board will offer a competitive compensation package to the successful candidate, the salary range is $140,000 – 170,000. The successful candidate must hold or qualify for an Oregon superintendent's license and provide proof of compliance with OAR 333-019-1030 (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Teachers and School Staff).
