Monday

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Requiring school districts to designate a civil rights coordinator (HB 2281).
  • Requiring Student Investment Account applicants to consider statewide education plan advisory groups’ recommendations (HB 2275). 
  • Modifying consent requirements for school district sexual harassment policies (HB 2280).

 

Tuesday

3 p.m.: The Senate Finance and Revenue Committee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • The corporate activity tax.

3 p.m.: The House Higher Education Committee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • State audits on community college and Measure 98.

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Requiring recordings of school district boundary changes (SB 271). 
  • Money for summer and after-school programs (SB 531). 

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Creating a crime of patronizing a trafficked child (SB 295). 

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • Summer learning.

 

Wednesday

8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • The Higher Education Coordinating Committee, Future Ready Oregon.

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Establishing a school safety construction fund (HB 2257). 
  • Requiring that the corporate tax kicker be used for school infrastructure (HB 3084). 
  • Examining State School Fund calculations (HB 2739). 

 

Thursday

8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will an informational meeting on:

  • Summer learning.

8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold a work session on:

  • School-based interventions to promote students’ well-being.

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Cosmetology curriculum (SB 217). 
  • Prohibiting post-secondary institutions from withholding transcripts over debts (SB 424).  

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • The Joint Task Force on Student Success for Underrepresented Students in Higher Education.
