Don’t let sweet victory distract from advocacy still being needed

Monday, May 6, 2019

The school funding train is rumbling down the tracks, headed into the station. After nearly 30 years, it seems hard to believe that we are so close to a historic reinvestment in public education. We anticipate a Senate vote on the legislation early this week. Then it will be off to Gov. Kate Brown's desk for a signature.

BUT ... let's not take anything for granted. You and the supporters of the Oregonians for Student Success campaign have generated thousands of supportive emails to legislators over the past few months. We know that we have one more hill to climb to get it through the Senate, so let's bring this work home strong. Take a moment to use this link and urge you senator to support the Student Success Act.

Then we will be able to sit back and enjoy this moment. We've earned it!
