OSBA Fall Regional Meetings kick off Wednesday, Oct. 2, and run through the end of October. The meetings are an annual opportunity for members to hear from OSBA staff without traveling to Salem.
This year’s agenda will cover a 2019 legislative session review, including school funding, the Student Success Act, cost containment and Public Employees Retirement System bills, and other education policies. There will be updates from OSBA’s executive team and a short presentation about new services offered by the Board Development team. There will also be time for information about area OSBA Board and Legislative Policy Committee elections.
OSBA members are encouraged to provide feedback at the meetings. The Legislative Services team needs to hear what’s happening in your district. If there are things in Salem that you need help with, this is a chance to let us know.
