ODE publishes guide to LGBTQ2SIA+ instructional materials

The Oregon Department of Education has released a guide to inclusive supplemental instructional materials for students of all gender identities and sexual orientations. The guide has recommendations for K-12 in a range of subject areas.
The guide is part of ODE’s LGBTQ2SIA+ Student Success Plan, which was published in 2020. The plan provides educational and social emotional support strategies and goals for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/nonbinary, queer/questioning, two-spirit, intersex, asexual and those with other ways of describing their gender identity. It also addresses professional training for educators, equitable education access and data collection.
