The Oregon Department of Education is distributing state grants up to $20,000 for school and community organizations to start up or expand summer meal offerings.
ODE is taking applications until May 13 for sponsors in the Summer Food Service Meal Program. The federal program reimburses schools and other organizations for serving healthy meals and snacks to children younger than 18 at approved sites.
