Google offers digital training for teachers

With digital learning a part of most school systems, the Oregon Department of Education is working with Google to provide free teacher training and support. 

“Google for Education Level 1 Certification” helps teachers manage coursework, increase collaboration and improve student outcomes using Google’s digital tools. 

ODE says the program is especially valuable for smaller districts with fewer professional development opportunities and less support staff. Teachers in public K-12 schools must apply by Sept. 15, and ODE will select the candidates.
