The OSBA Board appointed three new members in a special meeting Monday.
OSBA Board members represent 14 geographic regions and must be current members of an Oregon school district, education service district or community college board. OSBA’s governing board replaced two members who lost their local school board elections and one member who resigned.
Miriam Cummins of the Linn Benton Lincoln Education Service District will take position 10, representing the Linn/Benton/Lincoln Region. Anthony Medina of the Woodburn School Board will take position 11, a Marion Region seat. Susan Greenberg of the Beaverton School Board will take position 15, a Washington Region seat.
The new Board members must seek the seats in OSBA’s fall elections if they want to continue serving past Dec. 31.
The OSBA Board nominating period opens Aug. 23 for those positions and even-numbered board positions, except position 16, as well as all Legislative Policy Committee positions. OSBA’s Election Center contains more information.
