The committee helps guide OSBA’s work in the Capitol, and 2021 will have a full session with pressing issues including COVID-19, school funding, disaster recovery and equity.
Committee members also serve as information sources for OSBA members and bring regional concerns to the association’s staff.
At its next meeting, the OSBA Board plans to choose replacements to serve until Dec. 31, 2021, for the Eastern and Clackamas regions. Applications will be taken until 5 p.m. Nov. 18. Contact Jane Leonhardt at jleonhardt@osba.org for more information.
The committee includes 20 regional representatives, typically elected by local school boards for two-year terms. Committee positions must be filled by an active member of one of the boards for the region’s school districts, community colleges or education service district.
