SAIF creates $10 million fund for coronavirus expenses
Friday, April 3, 2020
SAIF is offering money to support coronavirus protections for workers.
The state’s workers’ compensation insurance company has opened a $10 million fund to help employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
All SAIF policyholders are eligible, and school districts can apply for money to mitigate expenses directly linked to the pandemic.
The fund will cover costs tied to preventing the disease’s spread and for making workplaces safer, such as cleaning supplies, safety equipment, worksite redesigns and mental health and wellness initiatives.
