OSBA offices temporarily close, but staff and advice still available
Oregon’s children need dedicated school board volunteers from all walks of life to advocate for students’ best interests, but first community members have to be elected.
The filing period closes Thursday to become a school board candidate in the May election.
OSBA’s 2019 Get on Board campaign offers an array of information and resources to help education advocates take the next step, including how to file.
The Oregon School Board Members of Color Caucus also offers support for community members who want to take a leadership role and have a voice on budgeting, hiring, policies and programs in their local schools.
