OSBA passes resolution aiming to cut teen texting while driving
The executive committee of OSBA’s Board of Directors has passed a resolution supporting “Distraction Free Driving Awareness Day.”
The observance is set for Sept. 19, 2015.
The resolution notes that a majority of teens believe that adults are often guilty of texting while driving, but that adults can nevertheless create awareness of the dangers of doing so, thus saving lives.
Betsy Miller-Jones, OSBA’s executive director, urged local boards to pass the resolution as well.
