Budgeting activity kicks off Districts Helping Districts resource

The Gresham-Barlow School District has kicked off OSBA’s newest informational feature, Districts Helping Districts, by sharing a straightforward, comprehensive guide to engaging the community in the process of developing a district budget.

The guide contains a step-by-step “how-to” that covers all the critical activities associated with gathering meaningful input from citizens in making budgetary decisions. In sharing the guide, Gresham-Barlow offers every district the opportunity to use a public-engagement model that has proved effective in the real world.

And that’s what Districts Helping Districts is all about—sparing you the need to reinvent the wheel when confronting challenges both large and small. On the other hand, your district may have honed a process, technique or method of dealing with a particular problem that other districts may find helpful.
