E-mail Ben: bbecker@osba.org
Ben Becker joined OSBA's legal services department in May 2008 after completing his first year of law school at Willamette University College of Law. He worked as a law clerk until graduating from law school in 2010, and returned to work at OSBA in December 2010.
Ben grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, where his parents and grandparents worked as teachers, administrators and coaches in local school districts. His interest in public education and related law springs from his family's history as educators.
Ben attended the University of Michigan, majoring in German and Economics. While in college, he played rugby and worked for the School of Education. Go Blue!
Prior to attending college, Ben lived in Bavaria, Germany, where he became fluent in German and hiked, skied, and rock climbed. His mountaineering experience sparked a Berglust that influenced his decision to move to Oregon for law school. When not laboring over mountains of discovery and deciphering legalese, he sneaks away to enjoy the mountains or argue the nuances of the laws of rugby.
