Professional association for school administrators, including superintendents, principals, assistant principals and other central office administrators.

Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development (CCWD)

Combination of Oregon Community College Services and Oregon Job Training Partnership Act Administration. Also oversees the Oregon Youth Conservation Corps and Oregon Community Services Commission.

E3-Employers for Education Excellence

Employers for Education Excellence - An independent non-profit organization founded in 1996. E3 works in partnership with business, education, and civic leaders statewide.

Education Enterprise Steering Committee

Because the "what" of school improvement is well established, the focus of the EESC's School Improvement work is to support schools on "how" to improve. The Teaching Learning Connection (TLC) is Oregon's statewide framework that supports districts and schools in their effort to move from "good to great" and/or help make immediate and dramatic changes for Title I-A schools/districts that are in "needs improvement status" or restructuring.

Education Northwest

Private, non-profit corporation conducting research, development, training, technical assistance and other services for schools and communities. Formerly known as Northwest Regional Education Laboratory.

Employment Relations Board

Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted (OATAG)

OATAG is a statewide non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides resources, information and advocacy for identified TAG students in grades k-12, their educators, family and community.

Oregon Association of Education Service Districts (OAESD)

Represents the education service districts in Oregon. Helps ESDs work together to enhance programs, services and products for local districts toward the goal of improved learning for all students.

Oregon Association of School Business Officials (OASBO)

Professional association of the business managers of Oregon's public schools. Provides professional growth opportunities and strives for the highest standards of ethics, efficiency and economy in the business methods and practices for the members.

Oregon Community College Association (OCCA)

A voluntary association whose members consist of Oregon's 17 community colleges. Serves as the advocacy voice for the community colleges at state agencies and the Legislature.

Oregon Department of Education (ODE)

The State of Oregon's public education system consists of public school districts and education service districts with their own respective governing bodies. The Oregon Legislature created the Oregon State Board of Education to set the educational policies and standards of Oregon’s state schools and community colleges. Its mission is to “consider the goals of modern education, the requirements of a sound, comprehensive curriculum best suited to the needs of the students and the public and any other factors consistent with the maintenance of a modern and efficient elementary and secondary school system and community college program”

Statewide union that represents the majority of teachers, community college instructors and education support personnel in Oregon. An affiliate of the National Education Association (NEA).

Oregon Educational Technology Consortium (OETC)

The Organization for Educational Technology & Curriculum (OETC) is an incorporated not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to maximizing the value of educational technology to its members by working with software and hardware vendors to procure the most effective and appropriate technological resources at the lowest possible price.

Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB)

The 2007 Oregon Legislature created the Oregon Educators Benefit Board and established this state-run mandatory health insurance pool for k-12 schools and ESDs.

Oregon Government Ethics Commission (OGEC)

Citizen commission charged with enforcing government ethics laws in Oregon.

Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB)

Oregon Public Broadcasting is the largest cultural and education institution in the region, delivering excellence in public broadcasting to 1.5 million people each week through television, radio and the Internet.

Oregon Public Education Network (OPEN)

Statewide telecommunication project designed to assist in providing access to a statewide network and provide Web-based information, curriculum, resources, education standards and instructional support to Oregon educators. Disbanded in 2006. 

Oregon Safe Schools and Communities Coalition

Seeks to create safe schools and communities where every family can belong, every educator can teach, and every child can learn regardless of actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.

Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA)

Non-profit association of member high schools which regulates all interscholastic athletics and activities following standards adopted by the state Board of Education.

Oregon School Counselor Association (OSCA)

The professional association serving school counselors in Oregon since 1967. A state division of the American School Counselor Association.

Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA)

Represents classified employees in Oregon schools, ESDs, community colleges and park and recreation districts.

Oregon Small Schools Association (OSSA)

A non-profit entity organized for the purpose of improving instruction in Oregon schools by providing staff development opportunities.

Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC)

The state student financial aid agency for Oregon. Formerly named Oregon State Scholarship Commission (OSSC), OSAC administers a variety of State of Oregon, Federal, and privately-funded student financial aid programs for the benefit of Oregonians attending institutions of postsecondary education.
