Administrative Professionals Workshop
This full-day workshop will cover onboarding new board members, building agendas and keeping minutes, managing public meetings and opportunities for networking with fellow board secretaries.

Preconference | Utilizing the Five Simple Principles to Engage Every Family: A Closer Look
This four-workshop series will focus on using the “Five Simple Principles” framework to engage every family. Workshops will detail the importance of policy, how family engagement impacts student achievement and how COVID-19 has resulted in the changing dynamics of families and school-family relationships.

NEW this YEAR! Choose from over 20 workshops presented by your peers and partner organizations, as well as OSBA staff, sharing their experiences and best practices for board work and leadership. We will offer opportunities to network and learn together on current critical issues such as:
  • equity work in rural versus urban settings
  • managing public comment and meeting disruptions
  • policy development and implementation
  • complaint procedures
  • legislative updates
Keynote | Why Family Engagement Matters: Understanding the 5 Simple Principles
Dr. Steve Constantino, leader, teacher, speaker and bestselling author
Every school strives to engage families in the academic lives of their children, but results vary widely. Through storytelling, humor and straight talk, author and international family engagement practitioner Dr. Steve Constantino will introduce you to the five principles of effective family engagement. He will leave you both smiling and thinking, but most importantly, motivated to establish practices that engage every family. 



Conference registration and fees

The Preconference Workshop is $160 per person (in person or virtual).
The Administrative Professionals Workshop is $160 per person (in person or virtual).
Saturday and Sunday Summer Board Conference is $205 per person (in person or virtual).


Breakfast (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) is $30 per person.
Lunch (Friday and/or Saturday) is $36 per person.
