Labor & Employment Regional Meetings come to you—mark your calendar for the weeks of February 9-11 & 17-19 2015!

In February, the Oregon School Boards Association will send its experienced negotiators and attorneys to a location near you. These regional workshops will feature informal roundtable discussions in which you can raise issues and ask questions on labor and employment issues.

As education leaders, you are charged with making the best investments of your resources to support our students – “The Promise of Oregon.” Keep your promise to our students by investing in learning the latest on collective bargaining, case law, and highlighted this year: the Oregon Matrix Model for Educator Summative Evaluations. In our popular “Ask the Attorney” session, you’ll get expert guidance and advice on the labor and employment issues most important to you.

Who
Meetings are targeted for board members, district superintendents, community college presidents, human resource directors and business managers.

What
We created a full agenda to keep you up to date with labor and employment data, trends, best practices and sound advice. We also allowed plenty of time to address questions and concerns of particular significance to you. Topics of particular relevance to administrators are scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. while those of special interest to board members are scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. is included in the registration fee. All attendees are welcome to attend all or any portion of the meeting.
