Fall Regional Listening Sessions
We want to hear from your school board!
Join OSBA Executive Director Jim Green and other OSBA staff at your local Fall Listening Session to ask questions and talk with us.
Due to the number of regions we plan to visit in person, the session dates will be divided with some in the fall and another set of sessions in the spring. If you do not see a session planned for your region, stay tuned for more dates and locations in 2022.
Please join the conversation, and help us learn how to best meet your needs.
Listening sessions are currently being planned as in-person events; however, in the interest of prioritizing the health and safety of the attendees at these events, OSBA’s COVID-19 safety measures may change in response to current public health conditions and guidance.
OSBA conducted its first phase of listening sessions in eastern and southern Oregon during October and November. Seven sessions were held, with four in-person and three in a virtual environment. Staff connected with more than 165 board members, superintendents, and other school administrators from 45 school districts and 7 education service districts from the following OSBA regions: Eastern, Gorge, Central, Southeast, Douglas/South Coast, and Southern.
OSBA leaders wanted to hear directly from school board members from across the state on vital issues to inform the work of staff.
OSBA President Maureen Wolf and several other OSBA board members attended many of the listening sessions, spending time and making valuable connections with the association membership. Thank you all for your participation and leadership during these meetings.
We would also like to thank each ESD for hosting their respective event.
