American Education Week

November 11-17, 2012



American Education Week—November 11-17, 2012—gives everyone a great opportunity to celebrate public education and honor people who make a difference in providing every child a quality education.

“Education Week has special meaning for Oregon this year,” said Betsy Miller-Jones, interim executive director of OSBA. “We stand on the threshold of a major organized campaign to ensure adequate funding for public education in Oregon. OSBA and its partners will take a strong message to the legislature in January—we need strong schools to ensure a bright economic future for Oregon.”

Miller-Jones called on her fellow education advocates to renew their commitment to that cause during American Education Week.
