Legislative Policies

The Oregon School Boards Association's primary mission is to serve as the collective voice for all Oregon public school boards.  A Legislative Policy Committee, elected by the membership, develops the OSBA legislative policies and priorities.

Four appointed to Legislative Policy Committee

The committee, which consists of the OSBA Board’s voting members as well as 19 representatives from 14 regions statewide, meets periodically to establish OSBA’s legislative priorities.

One meeting remains for 2015 Fall Regionals

OSBA staff have logged more than 4,000 miles in visits to 19 communities.

OSBA Legislative Services staff attends summits

Members of OSBA’s Legislative Services department participated in legislative summits in Baker City, Redmond and Hillsboro, along with local board members, legislators, administrators, students and others.
